Any way you can reduce little expenses, do it. It is the little stuff that adds up and causes your wallet to leak money when you aren’t looking. ∞ Secure a button after you have sewn it on by a drop of superglue or nail polish

∞ The minute any dry cleaner takes possesion of an item, they are responsible for the item. Save receipts and contact the Consumer protection office or BBB if you are unable to resolve with the management

∞ Don’t store clothes on wooden hangers, over time the acid in the wood can react with the fabric. Wire or plastic hangers are best

∞ When lacing up children’s shoes, tie a knot after the second eyelet to keep the laces from being pulled out by bored kids

∞ When shopping for clothes at outlets, try everything on, outlets end up with many odds sizes and mislabeled items

∞ When shoes slip too easily, roughen up the bottom with sandpaper

∞ Use widowed socks for cleaning, covering shoes while storing or traveling, covering cups while moving, covering cleaning bottles to reduce spill if they tip over.
