[...] And to close on a somewhat lighter note, you can head on over to Queercents, where Nina continues her Ten Money Questions series with interviews with Dan Savage and Helen Boyd. While not directly related to LGBTQ issues, they’re fun reads and offer a more mundane look at the banalities of gay life — banalities shared by every single human being. They’re not radical, but they serve as a reminder that queer persons need to deal with everyday issues as well as the identity politics which so many bloggers focus on.
Wow, I am so starstruck. Congrats on getting Dan to do your interview.

My favorite Dan Savage story is not actually about Dan Savage at all. I discovered a few years ago that my libertarian, conservative, slightly homophobic father reads his column. I got him one of Dan's books for Xmas one year. He devoured it in two days and then hid it so his girlfriend wouldn't find it. Anything that makes my father read about gay sex is great in my book.

Also, I have learned a lot from his columns, for which my partner should be very grateful. ;)
Current score: 0 (to vote for this comment, please visit the site)

Interesting questions. I like the one pants thing, that's a funny way to save money. Well sort of save...doing the laundry every day would be expensive and a pain.
Current score: 0 (to vote for this comment, please visit the site)

I met him once; he was doing a reading from Skipping Towards Gomorrah. I believe it was the gambling chapter, and how winning and losing brough him nearly physical pleasure and pain. 'Twas a fine time.

I think he's brilliant. But now I want to take up a collection to give the guy a second pair of jeans.
Current score: 0 (to vote for this comment, please visit the site)
