As Rich mentioned some time ago, the new movie Maxed Out starts playing in theaters today. This is a movie I’m sure Queercents readers will not want to miss.

DebtMetacritic.com indicates that the reviews are mostly favorable. Without venturing into conspiracy theorist territory, I wonder if reviewers who didn’t like the movie work for papers that rely heavily on advertising from credit card companies. It’s something to think about. If you scroll down the list of critics, you’ll see that former indie-darling The Village Voice hated the movie, but even that paper is owned by the mega-corporation New Times Media.

Happy viewing. You may want to think about paying for your ticket with cash! =)
