Thank you for your excellent post. We are in the grieving process at the moment after our 1. ivF cycle and several IUIs. We both are mourning, together and individually, and as you quoted so wisely, we are most of the time anti-cyclic... Wish us luck!
Current score: 0 (to vote for this comment, please visit the site)

I hope and pray that you will get what you desire. I can relate how you feel because I also desire to have a child but my case is a bit different. I don't have problems with the IVF cost. All I need is the perfect IVF mum who will conceive my child using IVF treatment method. Someone who also desires to have a child and would be interested in pregnancy via IVF. My personal site is: http://www.iwanttobeadad.com
Current score: 0 (to vote for this comment, please visit the site)

It's amazing what a slippery slope this process is -- I started off thinking I'd spend a year and $10,000 trying to get pregnant. Nearly two years later, I've spent more than that on 18 attempts (and two miscarriages). I'm now starting IVF. (I have fantastic insurance, so I'm incredibly fortunate not to have to consider finances when opting for IVF.)

A friend who did IVF calls it "the best $20,000 I ever spent." Another said she would have spent $45K per try -- as opposed to $15K -- if she'd been guaranteed it will work.

The heart is a funny thing. I wish you all the best in your efforts.
Current score: 0 (to vote for this comment, please visit the site)
