I am not sure how many folks are out at work but I guess this story didn’t seem to explicitly state that the person was out at work.

Probably because people have relationships with other people and not a political/gender stereotype. I think its difficult to maintain equal standing in a relationship where one party has more money than the other. There end up being many unspoken expectations.
