I see myself as more of a people person- but that doesn’t necessarily equal sex (once upon a time it did though )

I'm a sex person. That sounds funny... But here's the deal. Money has never been something I have given much thought to. I would like to have enough money to be comfortable but I have no aspirations of wealth nor do I want to put any energy into getting there. But when it comes to sex? There's someplace worth putting some energy. If I could have a savings account for intimate encounters that I could dip into when needed, I would be a happy person. Sex versus money? Easy...

I'm definitely neither. I decided by the end of my twenties that living my life by the principle "He who dies with the most toys, wins" would make me a failure for virtually any value of 'toys'. Instead I switched over to a talmudic saying "Who is rich? One who is content with what they have." For me, that was a surer path to wealth than any degree of alertness for money or sexual opportunities. Of late this has been harder to put into practice - for the first time in decades I have wants I can't fulfill. I'm reducing what I want, which was my traditional method. But I'm also keeping an eye out for opportunities to get the remaining things. I've changed jobs based solely on salary for the first time ever, and I'm looking into new-to-me ways of acquiring goods cheaply.

I don’t know that money or sex are the only two choices!

I tend to think of it like we all have “mental filters” through which we view life. Personally, my brain is always analyzing the political implications of whatever I’m thinking about, for example — those are the opportunities and costs I see first. For others it might be ambition, or money, or sex, or art, or family, or or or or.
