We have our annual membership to the local zoo- its the go to place for most of our little ones and they offer multiple special programs at a low cost. Our kids are on a first name basis with many of the animals at our zoo and always look forward to seeing them again. When they get a bit older, we'll consider moving on to the local children's museum for membership instead for the same reasons- a good all-around go-to place with some semblance of learning to it-- but fun. And-- we always get a state park membership. For $50- unlimited entry to local lakes, trails, etc. Weekly trips to the lake/beach, etc are just what we need during the summer-- and likely as the babies get bigger we'll go more than once a week. OH! And don't forget about local parks and recreation programs.
