This idea looks very interesting’¦ Some people blog about their debt as a way to hold themselves accountable and gain some support with their endeavor to lesson the debt. But that isn’t for everyone, some people prefer a face to face confrontation or a more personal mentor to guide them through.

It all boils down to accountability and owning up to your failures but receiving psychological support to get back up on your feet and go at the goal. Debtors Anonymous has no cost to it and if you are familiar with the idea of Narcotics Anonymous or Alcoholics Anonymous, then you have the idea of this.

Debtors Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from compulsive debting.

The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop incurring unsecured debt. There are no dues or fees for D.A. membership; we are self-supporting through our own contributions.

They do request that you:

  • Stop incurring debt
  • Maintain records income and expenses
  • Set up a budget
  • And get together with a sponsor

And like any other A.A or N.A meeting, they also meet in a variety of locations – DA meeting locations.
