Jill- the volume of sales would be approx the same if the drinking was at home instead of at a bar or restaurant, wouldn't it? Nina- I am believing the candy. Its hard to be miserable about the economy or whatever the lot in life when you're high on sugar. I have found my desk drawer to have more Jolly Ranchers and Fireballs than prior (I am consuming them like no tomorrow!)

Good point Jill -- you know I was thinking on this just tonight. With all the "staycations" going on and people eating in more... it just might account for some increase. Yet, wouldn't it have a corresponding decrease in alcohol purchases by restaurants? Not sure..... Thanks for commenting & bringing it up!
