  • Kim Peters recently wrote a wonderful article demanding Palin clear up her stance on gay marriage, because though she is a Republican she is demanding that her lesbian daughter be given the same rights as heterosexual Americans. (Read it at The Advocate)
  • On a related note, Lane Hudson contacted me with a follow up about Bolthouse and Prop 8. The boycott of Bolthouse has been declared over, which is fantastic news. Thanks for following up Lane! (Read it at LA Times)
  • Gawker Media’s Jezebel also has a great article on Proposition 8 calling the Democratic Party (or politicians in general) to stop “pandering to the forces of intolerance on this issue.” (Read it at Jezebel)
  • In case you didn’t hear, the FDIC recently increased deposit insurance to $250,000. (Read it at FiveCentNickel)
  • If you’re in the New York City area, the increasingly popular street artist Banksy just opened the “Village Pet Store and Charcoal Grill.” I’ve been following Banksy since 2004 and he’s definitely worth checking out if you haven’t already. (Read it at Wooster Collective via Boing Boing)
  • Neil Gaiman also has a new book out, with free streams of his reading of the text on his book tour. (View it at Mouse Circus)
  • I try a variation on this to get myself to stop buying things, as well. My two big ones are where will I put it (will it cause clutter) and how much will I use it? (Read it at Consumerist)
