I want a nice ass now!

And you’ll get one’¦ in time.

Things do not happen over night. They take a lot of time and a lot of effort. You will, of course, begin to see results (depending on your workout plan and your meal plan) quickly but you will also plateau.

A plateau is a period or phase in something when there is little increase or decrease. Basically, if you’re doing the same thing over and over again, you’ll see a response right away, but then you’re body will get used to it, and you’ll see no change.

Yes, Luce, but what does this have to do with my nice ass?

Well, think of it like this: Ran five miles yesterday? Great job! Now, go run five and a half or six today.

Set goals for yourself. Want to run 100 miles in a month? Calculate exactly how you’d do that and then put your plan into action.

Don’t forget to reward yourself when you get to your specific goal, that’s the only way you’ll manage it all.

This also coincides with my ‘œit’s ok to cheat’ principle.

I do not suggest you cheat on your workout or meal plan every single day of the week. If you say to yourself, ‘œI’m going to run a three minute mile’ and push your body until you can do it, then reward yourself by cheating on your meal plan. Have a small piece of cake or some ice cream or maybe even a beer. But make sure you limit yourself.

If you were to eat brown rice and steamed vegetables every meal of every day, you’re going to want to either pass out (from lack of caffeine and sugar) or you’ll get a little hormonal and have a panic attack (yes, I’ve seen both cases before numerous times). It is ok to go a little outside your diet, just remember that whatever you put into your body, you have to burn off somehow. So keep track.

Rewards ‘“ I wanted to define rewards again. Think of it like this ‘“ if you set yourself a goal of ‘œrun 100 miles this month’ and you meet your goal, then do something good for YOU. Something that is healthy but makes you happy at the same time. I usually give in and have some good old fashioned retail therapy. But hey, so long as it’s healthy, affordable and it makes you happy, I don’t care what it is.

Peace!
