Sometimes when you’re looking for something, it happens to be right under your nose. This was the case with my video blogger request a couple of weeks ago. Clint Osterholz has written some guest posts that explain how twentysomethings can save money and get settled when relocating to the big city. Starting Thursday, he’s offered to bring his words of wisdom for the Gen Y set via his new vlog spots at Queercents. Here’s what Clint had to say about himself:

Clint Osterholz is half accountant, half comedian, and all WASP. He has lived in Knoxville, Albuquerque, Boston, and New York City, which he now considers an acceptable home substitute. Because he is kind of awesome like that, he has been a sex educator, a movie theater manager, a financial aid counselor, and an amateur storyteller (winner best youth entrant, Appalachian Storytelling Festival ‘˜94). When he is not vlogging, he is posting pseudoscientific comedic traditional blogs on his blog, See Ya Next Tuesday. If you have any vlog requests, insults, or barbeque sauce recipes, find contact details on his bio page .

Please welcome him! In the meantime, now that we’re hip and have caught up to the YouTube generation, it’s a good time to place another call for writers. Ring, ring. If you have a burning story to share about money or financial tips that have worked for you ‘“ well, Queercents offers a captive audience. And as usual, we’re not necessarily pushing for a long term commitment. Consider the gig to be more like a summer fling or one-night stand. Why? Because we’re looking for writers to volunteer just long enough to pen a multi-part series on topics that haven’t been covered at Queercents.

Interested? Send me an email (contact details here) about your idea and why you want to write for Queercents. Of course, it helps if you’re already familiar with WordPress blogging software’¦ not a requirement, but definitely a plus when it comes time uploading all those great posts.
