Vlog: How to Use Credit Cards Responsibly
Good afternoon, Queercents readers.
Last time on my vlog, we discussed credit cards–how to get ’em, how to keep ’em, and what to do with ’em. I asked for ideas on what to do, and Lynn brilliantly responded that she’d like to know how to use credit cards responsibly. There’s always a psychological component to spending, so today, that’s precisely what I will talk about.
Check it out:

Clint, my friend, I *need* you to talk about budgeting. It’s so, so important, and yet no one I know has taken the time to create one. (Even if they did, I’m not sure they’d follow it. Do you have any tips for that?)
Thanks!!! 🙂
One way to ensure that you follow a budget is to setup your direct deposit so that only the amount that you need for that week (if you’re paid monthly/biweekly) is deposited into your checking account with the remainder going into savings. Each week, you transfer the amount for that week into savings. Works for me pretty well.
Ben–Done and done. Check me in two weeks!
Clint: Another excellent vlog! And you’re right on about there being a psychological component to spending. Paula has written about this a few times. Viewers who learned from your vlog might also gain something by reading these two posts of hers: Overcoming Emotional Spending and Splurge or Self-Sabotage.
Keep ’em coming. It sounds like budgeting is next!
