Scarves and neck ties
Silk scarves and neck ties can be used as blindfolds, and you can even restrain someone around the wrists and ankles. Just make sure that your knots aren’t too tight and you’re in business.
These are practically free. They’re great for hot summer sex. And if you use ice cubes in conjunction with a blindfold you’re really in business. If you really want to make the ice cubes special, you could hit up the dollar or the party store to find cheap ice trays in cute shapes, like lips and hearts. I know I’ve seen them at Ikea, too.
You can convert a simple wooden spoon into a paddle. Keep it in your goody drawer in the bedroom so that you’re not mixing business with pleasure.
Can’t afford dental dams at 50¢ – $1 a pop? Plastic wrap can be used instead. Just make sure it’s not the kind that’s intended to go in the microwave – you’ll be decreasing any of the benefits of using a dental dam if there’s holes in the barrier.
Plastic wrap can also be used for mummification, but that’s a little beyond my area of expertise, so I won’t make claims to know how that works. I’d love to hear from you, though, if you’ve got something to say about it.
I know, I know . . . no one wears a scrunchy anymore. But someone might actually have one of these 90’s accessories in the back of a make-up drawer somewhere. If you do, you could use a scrunchy as a cock ring.
Any board game can get a little kinky if you add the strip tease element to it. Sure, everyone’s played strip Poker before. But what about strip Trivial Pursuit – you take off a piece of clothing if you earn a piece of pie – or strip Guitar Hero – you take off a piece of clothing if you lose a face off? Twister is always a fun way to get close to your partner. You could also keep a travel version of Scrabble in the goody drawer so that you can spell out sexy words to get your imagination flowing.
These are just a few ideas to help you get the temperature blazing in the bedroom. What about you? What are some of your favorite ways to turn up the kink meter? I’d love to hear your ideas.
