Bank of America Offers Free Museum Admissions
As summertime approaches, we will be inundated with free activities in which to participate. From parades and neighborhood picnics to outdoor summer concerts and local theater, you’ll start to hear about events in your community. With a little attention and planning you can have an awesome summer of fun on a low budget.
To kick off the season, here’s one it’s not too late to take advantage of!
Bank of America along with MBNA have partnered with over 95 museums in twelve states. The museums offer free admission for account holders. Simply present your Bank of America credit or debit card (or your MBNA credit card) with your ID!
It gets better. You can bring a friend for free too! The offer is valid until May 31st, and you can visit as many of the participating museums as many times as you’d like. So, if you are not an account holder wrangle one up–ask them to take you!
If there are kids in your life, this is a cheap way to expose them to a place they may erroneously believe is stuffy and for old people. Many of the participating museums are children’s museums. Most of them offer interactive, hands-on exhibits.
Visit the easy to navigate site for more information including participating museums, hours, and current exhibits.
Use this freebie to take your co-worker on a long lunch break. Or head to the museum for a cheap but creative date idea! No matter how you use this offer, have a fabulous time and keep reading Queercents for more money saving tips and ideas!
This brought to mind a post I did last fall about reciprocal memberships to children’s museums. For a little extra when you buy a membership at your “home” museum, you can get in free to most other major ones around the country. Useful for those planning summer travel.
