Etsy.com
I love gift giving. From the gift selection, wrapping the package, to a card and the recipients smile, the whole process is a blast. For years I’ve given handmade gifts to friends and family. I enjoy taking time to be creative and making gift items with love. I often find myself searching the internet for inspiration. During one of those online sessions, I found a new website I simply adore…Etsy.com!
While perusing their site, finding items I so badly wanted to purchase, I was inspired with this plan. I’m going to make and sell items on the site to generate a gift giving fund. Then I’ll use the site to purchase gifts when I’m in a time crunch or my creative juices are running low.
Perhaps I can generate enough money to expand my art collection from one piece to a whole gallery! From small $6.00 mixed media pieces to $3500 hand carved wooden sculptures you can find art to fit your style and budget.
The site is easy to navigate by category. You can even shop for items by color! Check out the interactive flash graphics! If you happen to live in New York, visit their lab. For a low fee, $20 per month, you’ll gain access to their creativity headquarters. Use their machines, tools, equipment, even materials, to make your own masterpieces. The rest of us can share our ideas and tips on their forum.
I’m off to create an account, log in, and start creating items to sell! Check out the site and tell us about your Etsy experience and unique crafty purchases!
