Past Due: Are you behind on your cable bill?
I am going to make a public service announcement to all those whose TV bills are past due.
In my line of work, I regularly get contacted about the high price of TV programming and how expensive everything is. True, it does cost a lot. And if I didn’t get it free, I wouldn’t have anything beyond an over-the-air signal. Anyway, if you take a look at your bill and you see that you are past due or you are having to figure out payment arrangement to get it paid, then I strongly advise you to reduce the tv package that you have, if not for a while, at least until you get caught up.
I think I am one of the few company employees that talks people down to lower priced packages in order to save them money. Sure, ‘˜Promotions’ are good, for a time. But like everything, there are rules to how many you can get or limitations to the length of the promo.
Some companies will allow you to mix a dozen channels and only pay for those, but others will not. If you can’t get channels ‘˜ala carte’ then I highly suggest that you drop to the locals only – these usually run under $20 a month. It may be heartbreaking to give up a show you watch regularly, but unless you get a job with the cable company and get it free, the heartbreaking part will be the fact that the cable bill is helping to put you further in debt.
And do you want to look back on your life knowing that you did everything you could, but just couldn’t give up your TV for that one show (the one you’ve may have forgotten about by now) that you just had to watch?

Or the simple answer is simply give up on all those channels. I pick up 10 channels over the air with an antenna and new digital converter. Then with that spare time go read a book, that you got from your library
