Queercents introduces Ashkan Amouzegar and Eric Horwitz
Testosterone alert! We’ve got men. Two guys to be exact and they’re writing for Queercents.
Ashkan Amouzegar is a partial native of Portland, Oregon as he travels frequently. Ashkan has worked in various aspects of finance and is considered a ‘œSuze Orman type’ among his cohorts. He simply doesn’t believe in worrying about finances but rather educating and implementing change to better one’s economic position.
Outside his financial day job, Ashkan works as a freelance fashion journalist. Fashion is one of his beloved passions (note the $400 sunglasses!) along with traveling, the outdoors, cultural extracurricular activities, society, and yoga. You can learn more about Ashkan on his bio page and from his first post on Wednesday.
Eric Horwitz hails from New York City. He’s a life coach, business leader and entrepreneur. While his bio page hints of an ex-wife and kids, he busted out of the closet later in life. This experience enables him to guide gays and lesbians considering getting married, having kids and all the financial costs / commitments that go along with it. He’ll also be writing about financial and business issues.
One interesting tidbit about Eric: He’s a stand-up comedian and claimed in one year to generate revenue of $420, which paid for a dinner in Manhattan and a pair of uggs for his daughter. He said, ‘œSometimes people laughed, but they were drunk.’ I guess he’ll be keeping the day job, but at least we know he has a sense of humor about making money.
Please welcome them to Queercents!
