Queercents introduces Neil Scott
New Series Alert: Neil Scott is a young transguy living it up in the South. He is in college, one that looks the other way when folks bring up trans issues. Neil is particularly interested in personal finance strategies for transgender people, particularly folks who are young. Neil will be adding to our Transgender Finances coverage with his posts ‘“ starting later today about The Economics of Coming Out: Financial Independence.
Neil is an English/Women’s Studies double major who dreams of being a young adult librarian. This means that Neil spends a lot of time reading Foucault. Neil also works at the writing center at his college, carefully socking away funds into savings and avoiding making credit card overspending a habit.
When Neil isn’t in school, he lives with his partner in Austin, TX, where they buy breakfast tacos and are saving up for a house and a car. He wants to provide a couple of things in his series here at Queercents: a perspective on the economics of coming out, as well as the economics of being a young transguy. Please welcome Neil to Queercents.
Welcome aboard, Neil. Yeah for Women’s Studies and Foucault!
Why thank you! I’m happy to be here.
Welcome Neil,
I look forward to your posts and hearing about living in Austin.
