Queercents seeking contributing writers
Queercents needs some fresh voices. Don’t worry; we’re not necessarily looking for a long term commitment. Consider the gig to be more like a summer fling or one-night stand. Why? Because we’re looking for writers to volunteer just long enough to pen a multi-part series of posts on topics that haven’t yet been covered at Queercents.
Series allow us to build anticipation and gather new followers. Recent ones include Turning Spenders into Savers, Gen Y Finances, The Transgender Economy, and Stretch Your Food Dollar. Series are easy to promote. You write a series, I write a press release. What’s not to love about having the spotlight on you? (Any drag queen will vouch for that!)
So if you have a series idea (e.g. How to Budget for the 5 best Circuit Parties, Ten Ideas to Safeguard Your Career, 6 Ways to Date on a Shoestring), well, we’d love to hear what you have in mind. Send an e-mail to: nina AT queercents DOT com and tell me about it and also include why you want to write for Queercents.
Of course, it helps if you’re familiar with WordPress blogging software. Not a requirement, but it makes my job at editing easier!

Jerry: Thanks for your interest and comment, but since I’m constantly herding 20 contributing writers, part of the assignment is to follow directions (that’s meant to be funny!) so feel free to email me at nina AT queercents DOT com with more details.
